Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from eight vineyards around San Martino in Abruzzo, at elevations of 240–400 m above sea level.
Vinification
Harvest begins in mid-October. The wine undergoes pre-fermentation maceration for 20–30 days, followed by fermentation in stainless steel tanks at 28–30 °C for 15–20 days.
Ageing
The wine is aged for 12–18 months in new 225-litre French oak barriques.
Label / history
The wine belongs to a range named after Marina Cvetic, wife of Gianni Masciarelli. It was first released in 1997.
