Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown in the delle Venezie appellation, where Alpine influences and sea breezes help preserve the freshness and vibrant aromas of the variety. They come from well-suited vineyards, including some belonging to the "Stra-del-Milione" estate.
Vinification
The grapes are gently pressed. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a low temperature of 16–18 °C for 20 days, with selected yeasts, which brings out the fruit-forward character. Malolactic fermentation is avoided to keep the wine's natural brightness and lively taste.
Ageing
Part of the wine spends three months in oak barrels, which adds depth and roundness to the blend. The rest matures in stainless steel tanks to preserve lightness and a clear aromatic profile.
Tasting profile
Light and elegant. Notes of pear, green apple and citrus come with fresh acidity and a delicate mineral touch. The palate is clean and balanced.
Serving and pairing
Pairs especially well with seafood and fish dishes, and suits light lunches on the terrace.
Label / history
"Modello" is Masi's benchmark for the wines of Trevenezie. The "Stra-del-Milione" estate takes its name from the road along which Marco Polo travelled during his journeys of exploration and trade in the thirteenth century, a route known at the time to lead eastward. The wines are modern in style.
