Vineyard and terroir

The fruit comes from selected vineyards in Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia, including Pinot Grigio vineyards owned by Ruffino at the Poderi Ducali estates. The sites stand at 150–250 metres above sea level. Clay- and limestone-rich soils containing sand and gravel contribute elegance and structure.

Grapes

90% Pinot Grigio, 5% Chardonnay and 5% Sauvignon Blanc.

Vinification

The harvested grapes are destemmed, cooled and gently pressed. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats.

Ageing

The wine matures in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats.

Tasting profile

Bright, intense straw yellow. The bouquet opens with pronounced white-peach aromas, followed by wildflowers and a lightly minty finish. The palate is bold and structured, with mineral notes and a vibrant, long and satisfying finish.

Serving and pairing

Serve at 10°C. Pair with grilled fish, seafood pasta and other seafood preparations. It also suits shellfish, white meats, Asian dishes and mild cheeses.

Vintage notes

The 2024 growing season brought a rainy spring and a mild summer, with rain in mid-August. These conditions led to optimal grape ripening before harvest.

Label / history

First vintage: 1991. The quarter-moon motif on the label represents the ancient alchemical symbol for Earth’s satellite and emphasizes the importance of lunar phases in plant life.
