Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the south-facing Baragazza vineyard, at 0–150 m above sea level. Its slate and clay soils are of volcanic origin. The vineyard is planted at 4,000 vines per hectare and yields 1 t/ha, producing grapes with concentrated aromas and flavours.
Grapes
The vineyard is planted with Pinot Noir clone 777.
Vinification
Vinification takes place in small oak barrels, with up to 15 days of skin contact. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine matures for one year in French oak barrels, followed by at least 12 months in bottle in the estate’s cellars.
Label / history
Annual production is limited to 2,000 bottles.
