Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown in the Monferrato area on limestone, clay and sandy soils, which help maintain a balance between freshness and expressive fruit. Since 2019 all Cantine Povero vineyards have been certified organic.
Vinification
The grapes are hand-picked and gently pressed, then given 10–12 hours of cold maceration to bring out more of their aroma. After settling, the must is fermented at a low temperature in stainless steel tanks, which preserves the clean, vibrant fruit character.
Ageing
2–3 months on the lees, which gives a softer, more balanced texture.
Tasting profile
Light, fresh and soft, with an approachable character. Notes of apple, pear and other white fruits, balanced by delicate acidity that makes the wine easy to drink.
