Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie in the hills of Abruzzo on Italy's eastern coast, between the Gran Sasso mountains and the Adriatic Sea. The vines grow on limestone-rich slopes at 300–450 m above sea level. Cool sea breezes help preserve the grapes' natural acidity. The vines are 20 years old on average.
Grapes
The blend is typically Trebbiano Abruzzese, Pecorino and Chardonnay.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand, gently pressed and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. A short period on the fine lees adds depth while keeping the fruit fresh and lively. The winemaking team tastes the wine regularly to choose the best time for bottling, typically six months after the harvest.
Tasting profile
Expressive, precise and elegant, with lively acidity and a mineral character. Refreshing citrus notes and aromas of white flowers are joined by a subtle saline touch.
Serving and pairing
Suited to a light lunch or to refined seafood dishes. It can be drunk now or kept in the cellar for a short time.
