The vineyards lie at 90 m a.s.l. on medium-textured, stony soil, also characterized as clay-rich on the wine page. Vinification
Merlot is harvested in late August, while Sangiovese and Cabernet Sauvignon are picked in mid-September. Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel, followed by completed malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine matures for 14 months in barriques, 80% of which are new, followed by 11 months in bottle.
Tasting profile

Fruit and pleasant spice shape the aroma, while the palate is deep, lively and balanced. The selected vintage is described as intense, enveloping and intriguing without excessive weight, retaining freshness and elegance and offering the capacity to age for decades.
