Vineyard and terroir
The Vermentino is grown at Gavorrano in the province of Grosseto, at 90 m a.s.l. The vines are trained to spurred cordon at a density of 5,900 plants per hectare, with a yield of 55 q/ha. The wine page describes clay-rich, stony soil, while the technical sheet calls it medium-textured and rich in stones. The published harvest timing also differs: late August in the technical sheet and the first half of September on the wine page.
Grapes
100% Vermentino.
Vinification
Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation is completed.
Ageing
Six months in steel are followed by four months in bottle.
Technical data
The wine page gives the denomination as Maremma Toscana DOC, while the technical sheet identifies Toscana IGT. Available in 0.75 L bottles. First vintage: 2010.
Tasting profile
A fresh, approachable white with good structure, balance and persistence. Delicate white-flower aromas are joined by citrus notes. The palate is balanced, with acidity and a mineral component contributing freshness, savouriness and length.

Suitable with grilled fish, shellfish and white meats.
