Vineyard and terroir
Organically cultivated Primitivo vines grow around San Marzano in Puglia at approximately 100 m above sea level, where pronounced day-to-night temperature variation characterizes the climate. The shallow soils have a medium-fine texture. Vines are Guyot-trained at 5,000 plants per hectare.
Grapes
100% Primitivo, grown according to organic-farming principles.
Vinification
Harvest takes place during the first ten days of September. The grapes are destemmed and macerated at a controlled 25°C throughout alcoholic fermentation. The pomace is then gently pressed, initiating malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
Matured in stainless-steel tanks.
Technical data
Alcohol: 13% vol. The shop presents the 2025 vintage and recommends consumption within five years of harvest.
Tasting profile
Deep ruby red with reflections tending toward purple. The rich bouquet combines ripe fruit, cherry and plum with nuances of coffee and black pepper. Full-bodied, soft and harmonious, with a pleasantly persistent finish.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 16–18°C. Pair with savoury first courses, red meats and hard cheeses.
Label / history
“Naca” derives from classical Greek and is the Puglian word for a cradle. The name presents the wine as a cradle for Primitivo in its original character.
