Vineyard and terroir
Maresco from selected sites in Valle d’Itria at approximately 280 m above sea level. The area has a hot, dry climate with limited rainfall. Vines are trained on a vertical trellis.
Grapes
100% Maresco, an indigenous variety long present in Puglia. Its name recalls the Italian word “fresco,” or crisp, reflecting the grape's pronounced acidity.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand into crates at the end of September.
Ageing
In stainless steel.
Technical data
White wine; Valle d’Itria IGP. The 2025 vintage has 12.5% alcohol by volume.
Tasting profile
Straw yellow with pale golden reflections. The aromatic profile combines floral and grassy notes with pineapple, grapefruit and citrus. Pronounced, pleasant acidity defines the palate.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 10–12°C as an aperitif or with shellfish starters. The suggested drinking window is within three years of harvest.
Label / history
Maresco remains a little-documented indigenous variety associated with Puglia since ancient times. “Sulla” takes its name from a Mediterranean plant.
