Vineyard and terroir

SantaLucia is made from a selection of organically grown grapes from the estate vineyards in Tuscany.

Grapes

85% Sangiovese and 15% Canaiolo.

Vinification

The wine ferments in stainless-steel tanks for 10 days. It is vinified in a traditional style to produce a red, structured Chianti.

Ageing

The winery page specifies five months of bottle ageing.

Technical data

Chianti DOCG. Red wine. Ruby red colour. Alcohol: 12.5% vol.

Tasting profile

Brilliant red with garnet nuances. The intense aroma recalls mixed berries, including blackberry, blackcurrant and blueberry. Aromatic, mature and approachable, with a soft, harmonious and rounded palate. Its moderate alcohol and gentle character suit everyday drinking.

Serving and pairing

Pair with Beef Wellington, roast pork or spicy cheese.

Label / history

The estate presents SantaLucia as its classic interpretation of Tuscan rural tradition, intended to evoke the vineyards, cellar and memory of a past summer. Its technical sheet connects the wine symbolically with Saint Lucy’s Day on 13 December and Saint John’s Day in June, describing it as balanced and elegant.
