Label / history
The cooperative was founded in 1960 by 28 local farmers and takes its name from the village of Colterenzio near Girlan. It now comprises more than 290 winegrowers with approximately 300 ha of vineyards. Its labels depict the silhouette of Firmiano Castle, built by Archduke Sigismund in the fifteenth century. Sigismund supported the development of the area’s vineyards; the castle is now almost entirely in ruins.
