Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie 700 metres above sea level. The Calappiano estate is the heart of the Sensi company and stands near the village of Vinci, birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci.
Vinification
Selected grapes are macerated and fermented in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 26–28 °C for 10–12 days.
Ageing
The wine stays in stainless steel tanks until bottling.

Label / history
Calappiano is the estate at the heart of the Sensi company, near Vinci. The estate is also a place of history, art and architectural treasures. The Sensi family has been making wine since 1890, and at Calappiano they combine traditional recipes and techniques with innovation and respect for the environment.
