Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in Settesoli’s own vineyards in the commune of Menfi, in southwestern Sicily. The region has a hot Mediterranean climate, with consistent sunshine, moderate rainfall and coastal breezes that moderate temperature swings and ventilate the vineyards.
Grapes
Inzolia retains high acidity in the hot climate, while Pinot Grigio contributes freshness and brightness.
Vinification
The grapes are usually harvested at night. Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness and fruit character.
Tasting profile
Fresh and elegant, with pleasant fruit notes on both the nose and palate.
Label / history
The label depicts swallows, echoed by the name “Rondone”: the Italian word “rondine” means “swallow.” The image was chosen to evoke a light, summery and friendly character.
