Settesoli

1958–1974

Settesoli was founded in Menfi in 1958 with 68 winegrowers. By 1974 its wines were being sold internationally.

2008–2009

In 2008 the cooperative built one of the largest photovoltaic plants in the Italian wine sector. In 2009 it was named "Best Winery of the Year for Value for Money" in the Gambero Rosso "Almanacco del Berebene".

Today

Settesoli has grown to a cooperative of two thousand members who own more than 6,000 hectares of vineyards across Sicily.

Settesoli applies full traceability throughout production, from vineyard to bottle, with every stage certified. It also invests in photovoltaic energy, and in 2008 built one of the largest photovoltaic plants in the Italian wine sector.

Settesoli presents full traceability as a key innovation that gives wine lovers a clear view of how the wines are made. It also states that it cares about the environment.
