Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from south-facing estate vineyards at 280–300 m above sea level. The vines are planted at 5,000 per hectare and trained to the spurred-cordon system. Manual vineyard work includes dry pruning, shoot thinning and crown desuckering, while the number of shoots per vine is restricted. Harvesting is manual.
Grapes
Blend proportions vary by vintage. Latest published vintage (2023): 40% Cabernet Franc, 40% Merlot and 20% Sangiovese Grosso. The combination brings together international varieties and Sangiovese from the Montalcino area.

Ageing
Matured for six months in French Allier barriques and a further six months in 20–25 hL Slavonian oak barrels. Bottle refinement lasts at least two months.
