Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow at Tenuta Ficuzza in the heart of Sicily, at 700 metres above sea level. Slow, gentle ripening in this mountain environment supports freshness, while the local microclimate protects the vines from drought and high temperatures.
Grapes
The new Angimbé blends Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc grown in the same mountain terroir.
Tasting profile
The blend brings together the body of Chardonnay with the varietal character and freshness of Sauvignon Blanc. Its presentation centres on elegance, purity and freshness.
Label / history
Angimbé has been recast as a homage to Ficuzza and a return to the wine's origins. Sauvignon Blanc was planted at the estate after experimentation with an international white variety suited to Ficuzza's altitude. Once the vineyard reached maturity and balance, its fruit was combined with estate-grown Chardonnay. The new white label references the wine's archival original; its textured finish expresses the intended elegance, purity and freshness of the blend.
