Vineyard and terroir

The Pinot Blanc comes from two terroirs: chalky, gravelly moraine soils in Cortaccia and sandy alluvial soils in Magrè. The grapes are harvested from low-lying vineyards.

Vinification

Traditional fermentation takes place in concrete tanks for 10 days at a controlled temperature of 18 °C.

Ageing

The wine spends 4 months on the fine lees before bottling.

Tasting profile

A dry white with youthful freshness and elegance. Delicate floral aromas combine with notes of apple and tropical fruit. The palate has lively acidity and a distinctive mineral character, and the finish is beautifully balanced. It is already very enjoyable young.

Vintage notes

The description refers to the 2025 vintage but gives no details of its weather.

Label / history

"Merus" is the name of a range, taken from the Latin word meaning "pure, authentic". The range's classic wines aim to reflect this through clear varietal character and natural elegance. Its white and red wines are fermented in stainless steel and concrete tanks and are open, fresh and approachable.
