Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow at 300–450 metres above sea level in limestone and clay soils rich in pebbles.
Grapes
Schiava is supplemented by small amounts of Pinot Nero and Lagrein.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand, pressed and fermented in stainless-steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation follows alcoholic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine ages first in concrete vats and then in oak barrels.
