Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from hillside vineyards near the mountains, at elevations of 200–400 m. The limestone-based soils contain clay and gravel and are exposed to intense heat.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand into small containers to prevent damage in transit to the winery, then gently pressed immediately. Fermentation takes place in small stainless-steel tanks at a controlled 19 °C. The must undergoes partial malolactic fermentation.
Vintage notes
The 2020 growing season began with a dry winter and a cold March. A rapid rise in temperatures brought early budbreak and flowering ahead of schedule. Conditions were mostly rainy from mid-May to early June, followed by alternating rainy spells and warm, dry periods; nights remained cool throughout the summer. Harvest began in early September and was interrupted several times by rain, with long sunny periods following each interruption. The vintage produced fresh, intensely aromatic white wines.
