Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The vines grow at 70 metres above sea level in very stony, limestone-rich gravel soils of alluvial origin. The soils drain well and reflect sunlight, which helps the grapes reach excellent quality. The climate is influenced by the Alps and the Adriatic Sea and suits the growing of grapes for elegant wines of freshness and finesse.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and fermented in steel vats at a controlled temperature of 18 °C.
Ageing
After alcoholic fermentation the wine is aged in stainless steel tanks, to preserve its freshness and bright varietal character.
Tasting profile
Fresh and zesty, with a bright varietal character.
Label / history
The wine is a joint cuvée of the family-run Valdo and I Magredi wineries, combining their years of winemaking experience in Veneto and Friuli. Ribolla Gialla is a native grape widely grown in Friuli, cultivated there since the days of the Venetian Republic.
