Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie on the hills of Maremma, in southern Tuscany, at 100–300 metres above sea level. The soils are sandy and alluvial, which give the wine a light, clean taste.
Grapes
Vermentino with a small amount of Sauvignon Blanc.
Vinification
The grapes are handled gently and fermented cool to preserve the fresh aromas.
Ageing
The wine spends 3 months on the fine lees, which adds softness and a silky texture. It is best drunk young, within 2 years of the harvest.
Tasting profile
Light and sunny in character, with a fresh coastal feel and generous fruit. The taste is light and clean, and the texture soft and silky. The style is clear, airy and naturally inviting, reflecting the Tuscan coast.
