Vinification
The Glera grapes are harvested by hand in the middle ten days of September, when their freshness and aromatic character are at their peak. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks, followed by a second fermentation at low temperature using the Charmat method. Rapid cooling at the final stage establishes the balance between alcohol and sugar.
Tasting profile
Clean and expressive, with fruit and floral aromas. The palate is harmonious and refreshing.
Label / history
La Gioiosa Etamorosa belongs to the Moretti Polegato family, owners of Villa Sandi, whose winemaking traditions span three generations. The name derives from Treviso’s ancient epithet, “Marca gioiosa et amorosa,” meaning “a joyful and beloved place.” The region was also once called the “garden of Venice” because it supplied the city with fruit and vegetables. The founders adopted this description of Treviso as the company name.
