Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The Arneis grapes are grown in Piedmont. In Roero, the variety performs best in soils rich in limestone and silica.
Grapes
The variety’s name refers to its temperamental nature: Arneis means “Little Rascal” in Italian. Its local nickname, Barolo Bianco, reflects its regional importance.
Vinification
For the 2014 vintage, the grapes were gently pressed and the must fermented for 10 days at 16–18 °C.
Ageing
A short period of bottle ageing added structure and aromatic complexity.
Tasting profile
Fresh, exceptionally aromatic and flavourful, with good structure and complex aromas.
