Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown on Abruzzo hills in the provinces of Pescara and Chieti. Pecorino’s affinity for altitude and the marked temperature variations of these hills shape its aromatic character. The soils are medium-textured clay, and vines are trained using the traditional marquee system and espalier. Harvest is usually early.
Grapes
Pecorino d’Abruzzo.
Vinification
Vacuum pressing extracts only the free-run must. After cold clarification, only the clear fraction undergoes fermentation at low temperature to protect its aromas.
