Vineyard and terroir
The Pinot Grigio comes from the Chieti area, where vines grow on medium-textured clay soils. Pergola and espalier training systems are used. Harvest is completed by the first half of August.
Grapes
Pinot Grigio.
Vinification
The grapes are destemmed and gently vacuum-pressed to extract only the free-run must. The clear fraction ferments at low temperature for approximately 10 days.
Ageing
Maturation takes place in stainless-steel tanks before bottling.
Technical data
Terre d’Abruzzo IGT. Alcohol is given as 12% vol. in the wine presentation and 12.5% vol. in the technical sheet, with possible variation between vintages. Available format: 0.75 L. Recommended glass: tulip.
Tasting profile
Pale, luminous straw yellow. Pear and pineapple define the fragrant nose, accompanied by subtle aromatic-herb nuances. The palate is driven by freshness and salinity, balanced by a light structure and crisp white-fruit flavours.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 8–10°C. Pair with fresh cheeses, delicately grilled vegetables, white-meat main courses and lightly flavoured pizzas.
Label / history
The Tralcetto line is identified by the characteristic vine sprig around the bottle neck, symbolising the deep roots of the relationship between wine and territory. The sprigs are gathered after the annual pruning of Abruzzo vineyards and attached to each bottle by hand.
