Questo vino
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes come from the Abruzzo Region, from vineyards on medium-textured clay soils trained with the tendone and espalier systems. Harvest is usually early.
Grapes
Black grapes.
Vinification
The must undergoes gentle pressing and static settling. Primary fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks; the prise de mousse then proceeds in autoclaves according to the Martinotti, or Charmat, method. This approach is intended to preserve the grapes’ freshness and aromatic range.
Technical data
Alcohol: 12% vol. Available format: 0.75 L. The stated alcohol level may vary between vintages. The wine is preferably enjoyed within two years of the prise de mousse.
Tasting profile
Soft pink in colour. The delicate, elegant bouquet combines raspberry and strawberry with wild redcurrant, pomegranate and a spicy suggestion of ginger. The palate is direct and generous, with freshness and savouriness supporting an easy-drinking profile. Fine bubbles carry the red-fruit flavours into a bittersweet finish.
Serving and pairing
Serve at 6–8°C. Pair with seafood appetisers, grilled fish, seafood pasta or risotto, shellfish and oysters.
Label / history
The Tralcetto line is identified by the characteristic vine twig attached to the bottle neck, symbolising the connection between wine and its territory.
