Grapes
The wine was developed through research and a selection of Corvina Veronese grapes.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in two stages. The first selection is picked in the second half of September, dried for two months and fermented for 20 days. The second harvest takes place at the end of October and is fermented in stainless-steel tanks.
Ageing
The first selection matures for 24 months in French oak barrels.
Label / history
Sergio Zenato conceived Cresasso to retain the varietal character of the region’s native grapes while giving the wine an identity of its own. The 2011 vintage received a silver medal at Mundus Vini.
