Storia
The Zenato winery was founded in 1960. Sergio Zenato has owned it ever since, aiming to make the best possible use of every piece of land.
The estate is best known for its Lugana Riserva and Amarone. After perfecting these wines, the owners turned their attention to producing Soave and Chardonnay.
Terroir
The winery is in the small town of San Benedetto, on the shores of Lake Garda near Verona. All the estate's vineyards are in the commune of San Ambrogio, on Valpolicella's westernmost hill. The area still carries memories of the ancient Romans and the wines made here in their time. The vineyards are near the historic estate of the poet Catullus.
