Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie at Contrada Zisola near Noto in the province of Siracusa, at 130 m a.s.l. with south-east exposure. The soil is medium-textured, calcareous and mineral. Traditional head-pruned bush vines are planted at 5,550 per hectare.
Grapes
Catarratto Lucido. No percentage is specified.
Vinification
The grapes were harvested by hand from 15 September. Fermentation took place at a low temperature of 15 °C. Bottling followed in March 2026, with release in April 2026.
Technical data
The 2025 has 12.25% alcohol and total acidity of 5.60 g/L. Production is limited to 5,600 bottles in 750 ml format. The 2025 is the inaugural vintage.
Tasting profile
Bright and crystalline in appearance. The profile is enveloping, with apricot and tropical-fruit notes. Its soft texture is sustained by persistent salinity and minerality.
Vintage notes
The 2025 growing season included unusually heavy summer rainfall, with two events of 50 mm each and several interruptions to harvest. Catarratto reached ideal maturity a few days later than average. The conditions kept potential alcohol moderate while maintaining excellent acidity.
