About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the Cancello vineyard, at 380 metres above sea level, where the vines grow on poor marl soils.
Grapes
Sangiovese is supplemented by small amounts of Merlot and Colorino.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in early October and vinified in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats.
Ageing
The wine matures for 30 months in French oak barriques, followed by at least three months in bottle in the winery’s cellars.
