About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes come from three organic crus—Monte di Mezzo, Faldeo and Taibane—high on the Gambellara hill. Although only a few hundred metres apart, the vineyards occupy different landscapes. The hills are volcanic.

Vinification

Following harvest, the grapes macerate on their skins for 2–4 days and ferment spontaneously with native yeasts. The wine is bottled without filtration or added sulfites.

Ageing

The wine ages for 12 months in large 15 hl oak barrels, followed by another 12 months in bottle in the winery’s cellars.

Tasting profile

Fresh, rich, vibrant and highly expressive, with a balanced character and notable variety derived from the three vineyard sites.
