About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from the Fossa di Lupo vineyard, about 280 m above sea level. Its soils comprise red sand, chalk and Apennine limestone. The vines average 40 years of age and are cultivated without pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, or chemical or synthetic fertilisers.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand at optimal ripeness and sorted at the winery. Fermentation and skin maceration take place in concrete tanks.
Ageing
The wine matures for 12 months in cement vats. It is bottled without filtration and rests for a further month in the winery’s cellars. The recommended drinking window for the 2021 vintage is 2024–2032.

“FL” is an abbreviation of “Fossa di Lupo,” the vineyard where the fruit is grown.
