Vineyard and terroir

The grapes are grown in Puglia, southern Italy.

Label / history

Each bottle in the Barbanera Since 1938 collection bears a heraldic coat of arms symbolising the brand’s values. Its helmet represents nobility; the hills at its base signify strength, stability and wisdom; and a central cypress takes root among them. Two stylised lilies represent power and sovereignty, while the surrounding elements symbolise the integrity and eternal life of the Barbanera family.

The wine received gold medals at the Berliner Wein Trophy in 2012 and 2015 and a silver medal at the 2013 competition.
