Label / history
Vecciano belongs to the Duca di Saragnano brand, which Barbanera describes as its flagship and which covers wines from several regions of Italy. The brand is named after the warrior Duke di Saragnano, who fought the Saracens for the freedom of Southern Italy. Luigi Barbanera, an ancestor of the Barbanera family, was a close friend of the Duke.
Awards named in the text: gold medals at the Berliner Wein Trophy in 2016 and 2017; a bronze medal at the International Wine & Spirit Competition in 2017; in 2018, 99 points and the title "Absolute Best Wine" from the annual guide Migliori Vini Italiani.
