About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Sangiovese grows on clay and marl soils around Fiesole. The vines are approximately 60 years old, and yields are restricted to no more than 500 g of selected grapes per vine.
Vinification
Vinification takes place over 20 days in open 225 L barrels. The must is stirred by hand six to eight times a day.
Ageing
The wine matures for 20 months in French oak barrels, followed by a further year in the cellar after bottling and before release.
Tasting profile
It has an elegant aroma and distinctive flavour.
