About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown on the Tuscan coast in Maremma, also the source of the fruit for Ilatraia.
Vinification
For the 2016 vintage, the grapes were harvested on 23–24 September. Fermentation took place at 28 °C.
Ageing
The wine matured for more than a year in used 500-litre oak tonneaux. After bottling in March 2018, it rested for several further months in bottle.
Tasting profile
Juicy and approachable, with an inviting character.
Label / history
The wine is a recent addition to the Brancaia range and was first released from the 2015 harvest.
