About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vineyards lie on the hills of Collio, where abundant sunshine and sea breezes contribute expressive aromas and mineral character. The local Cormons flysch consists of sandstone and marl rich in limestone, potassium and phosphorus and is well suited to hillside cultivation.
Vinification
After harvest, the grapes are destemmed and pressed. The juice ferments for about two weeks, with fermentation completed after draining off.
Ageing
The wine matures in oak barrels for more than one year before bottling.
Tasting profile
The wine has complex, expressive aromas, mineral character and a structured, full-bodied profile.
Serving and pairing
In winter, serve at room temperature; in summer, at 15 °C. Use a large, wide glass. The wine is intended for special meals and exploratory food pairings.
