About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes are grown in vineyards in Val di Cembra, at elevations of 500–650 m.
Grapes
The wine brings together old, native Italian varieties selected through a project devoted to disappearing local grapes from the province of Trentino.
Vinification
The grapes undergo cold fermentation to develop intense, lively aromas, followed by traditional pressing and alcoholic fermentation.
Tasting profile
Elegant and dry, with an intense, lively citrus aroma and a distinct mineral character on the palate.
Label / history
Blanc de Sers belongs to the “Vini dell’Angelo” (“Wines of the Angel”) range, a recently introduced Trentino quality label for wines made from old, disappearing local varieties. Cantine Monfort was founded by Giovanni Simoni, grandfather of the current owner, Lorenzo. The winery is based in Lavis, north of Trento.
