About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The Sangiovese comes from the Tuscan wine-growing area associated with Rosso di Montalcino, where the variety develops the combination of complexity and vivacity that defines Campone Rosso.

Grapes

Sangiovese.

Technical data

Rosso di Montalcino DOC. The 2024 wine has 13% alcohol and is available in a 0.75 L bottle.

Tasting profile

The 2024 Campone Rosso has a deep, intense ruby-red colour. Ripe-fruit aromas evoke plum, cherry, and raspberry, followed by delicate floral and spicy sensations. The palate features soft, velvety tannins and a harmonious balance between acidity and alcohol.

Serving and pairing

Pair with savoury cured meats such as ham or salami, Tuscan soups including ribollita or pasta and beans, creamed chickpeas, or grilled pork.

Vintage notes

The 2024 growing season began with a relatively mild, dry winter. A cool and rainy spring encouraged rapid, vigorous vegetative growth. Periods of summer rain alternated with sunny weather, supporting grape development while maintaining the vines' vegetative balance. Pronounced day-to-night temperature variation during ripening encouraged gradual maturation, and the grapes reached harvest in excellent condition.
