About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vines grow in the foothills of the Dolomites, on the alluvial limestone soils of Vallagarina.
Vinification
The Pinot Grigio grapes are hand-picked. They undergo cold skin maceration for 4–5 hours to bring out subtle floral and fruit notes. Fermentation follows in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature of about 18 °C.
Ageing
The wine spends a short time in stainless steel tanks, which preserves and enhances its fresh, fruity character.
Tasting profile
Delicate, pale salmon colour. Elegant and fresh, with lively acidity. The palate shows bright apple and pear, with floral and citrus notes, a combination typical of the Vigneti delle Dolomiti terroir. It balances lightness and depth.
Label / history
The wine belongs to the "Mastri Vernacoli" range, which brings together Trentino's grape varieties and Cavit's winemaking. The range also includes Müller-Thurgau, Gewürztraminer, Teroldego Rotaliano and Marzemino. Cavit was founded in 1950 by Trentino winemakers as a community and corporate group. It supports almost 4,500 small wineries and produces 65% of the wine made in Trentino each year. Its vineyards cover 7,000 ha in total.
