About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The selected fruit comes from hillside vineyards in Trento, Valle dei Laghi and Altopiano di Brentonico. Yields are limited to 70 hl/ha at each site.
Grapes
The grapes are selected for this wine.
Vinification
The grapes were harvested by hand into crates. Traditional white-wine vinification took place at a controlled temperature in stainless-steel tanks and old barriques. After stabilization, secondary fermentation began in bottle the following spring. Only a minimal dosage of liqueur d’expédition was added after disgorgement.
Ageing
The wine spent more than 30 months on the lees.
Tasting profile
Fresh, elegant and intense.
Vintage notes
In 2019, warm weather in March and April brought early budbreak, followed by low temperatures in May that delayed flowering. Flowering subsequently occurred in favorable, dry conditions, producing excellent fruit set. The summer was warmer than average, with long sunny periods and no rainfall. Harvest ran from early September until the end of the month. The fruit was healthy and fully ripe, with pronounced acidity.
