About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The Chardonnay is grown in the Cembra Valley and on the hills of Avisio, in south- and southeast-facing vineyards at 350–700 m above sea level. The soils range from deep, structured soils with a rich dolomitic texture to shallower, less structured and well-drained soils containing high levels of white and grey limestone and deposits of porphyry.
Vinification
Alcoholic fermentation takes place entirely in stainless-steel tanks under strictly controlled low temperatures. The second fermentation occurs in the bottle.
Ageing
The wine ages on its lees for 24–36 months after the second fermentation.
