About this wine
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand in mid-September and undergo a short cold maceration. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks at 16–18 °C.
Ageing
The wine rests for several months on its fine lees in steel tanks.
Label / history
Wines bearing the Chiantigiane label are produced by several small wineries that pool their resources. Together, their vineyards cover 2,460 hectares, while their cellars are located in the provinces of Florence, Siena and Pistoia. They continue to follow long-standing winemaking traditions.
