About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The fruit comes from Veneto, in the Valpolicella area of northeastern Italy. The vineyards have well-drained soils and receive abundant sunshine and warmth.

The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and vinified traditionally at a controlled temperature, using modern equipment.

Label / history
The range takes its name from the “Castles of Romeo and Juliet” near Montorso Vicentino. In 1530, writer Luigi da Porto lived there in a villa overlooking the ruins of medieval castles associated with the Montecchi and Capuleti families. Historians believe these ruins inspired his novella “La Giulietta,” which later inspired Shakespeare’s play.
