About this wine
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and dried for 30 days in temperature- and humidity-controlled ventilated rooms. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks for about 30 days.
Ageing
The wine matures for 18 months in oak barrels.
Serving and pairing
Pair with meat dishes, pasta with meat sauce, mature cheeses or vegetables.
Label / history
Cielo e Terra was founded in 1908. Its name combines terra, meaning “earth”, with the surname of its founders, the Cielo family. Pietro Cielo began expanding and improving production in 1930; new vineyards were established and production increased in 1962. The winery is now run by fourth-generation brothers Luca and Pierpaolo Cielo and forms part of Gruppo Cantine Colli Berici.
