About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The organic wine is made from fruit grown on clay and sandy soils containing limestone and basalt.
Vinification
After harvest, the grapes undergo traditional vinification, followed by secondary fermentation using the Charmat method.
Serving and pairing
Suitable as an aperitif and with fish, white meats and appetizers.
Label / history
The name refers to Maia, one of the seven sisters of the Pleiades. In ancient tradition, she guided the sailors and farmers of Lake Garda during navigation and harvest. Daughter of Atlas, lover of Zeus and mother of Hermes, she was associated with destructive fire, nature, spring, fertility and nourishment. The month of May was dedicated to her.
NovaPalma takes its name from an ancient Venetian fortified city laid out as a regular nine-pointed star, with each bastion designed to protect its neighbours.
