About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The vines grow at 250 m above sea level on the Tenuta Roncaglia estate. They were planted in 1930, with part of the vineyard replanted in 1995.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested by hand between 20 September and 5 October. After destemming and crushing, they undergo skin maceration for 10–12 days at 28–30 °C, followed by malolactic fermentation.
Ageing
The wine rests in oak barrels for 12 months.
