About this wine
Vineyard and terroir
The grapes grow in Campobello di Mazara in southern Sicily, at 150–350 metres above sea level. The vineyards receive warm sunshine and sea air, and have limestone soils.
Vinification
The fully ripe grapes are harvested by hand and gently pressed. Fermentation takes place on the skins for two weeks at a controlled temperature.
Ageing
The wine ages in stainless steel tanks, followed by three months in the winery’s cellars.
Tasting profile
The nose offers wild berries and hints of Eastern spices. The palate is well structured and balanced, with velvety tannins, softness, generous fruit flavours and lively, juicy energy. The wine is rounded and harmonious.
Serving and pairing
Pair with pasta in tomato sauce, roast lamb, grilled vegetables or medium-aged cheeses.
