About this wine

Vineyard and terroir

The grapes are organically grown in Conde’s vineyards. The number of buds retained on each vine is limited, resulting in a small harvest. The source also attributes the yield to the soil and favourable climate.

Vinification

The grapes are harvested by hand and gently pressed. Cold maceration precedes alcoholic fermentation in stainless-steel tanks at a controlled 28–30 °C for 15–20 days. Regular pump-overs and punch-downs are used to balance the tannins. Malolactic fermentation takes place in oak barrels.

Ageing

The wine matures for 24 months in first- and second-use French oak barrels, followed by at least 12 months in bottle before release.

Tasting profile

Elegant, with balanced tannins.
